These removable units can be used as base for either switches or motor starters. Inserts can be changed safely while the board is live. This gives great flexibility to the end user since they can do repairs to the panel without any downtime. Inserts are available as 3 or 4 pole units up to 630 AMP with or without bars. Plugin inserts are very economical when compared to bolted connections.
